Aima Ari Visto Gold New Platform

AIMA Enables ARI (Golden Visa) Renewals via the Renewals Portal — Official Links & How to Proceed

AIMA has announced that renewals for ARI (Autorização de Residência para Investimento / “Golden Visa”)
will be available through the AIMA Renewals Portal starting on 16 February 2026.

What changed

The key update is that ARI renewals are being routed into the same digital ecosystem used for other residence permit renewals:
the Renewals Portal. AIMA’s own service information confirms the portal exists and is being expanded in phases, with the ARI rollout
announced for mid-February 2026.

Importantly, AIMA also operates a separate online flow under services.aima.gov.pt for certain renewals (notably those handled via the
“Estrutura de Missão” process). This matters because that services portal explicitly notes it does not cover ARI renewals.

How the Renewals Portal typically works (practical flow)

AIMA describes a self-service process: registration by the applicant, credential delivery to email, submission, payment guide generation, and then
analysis leading to issuance of the renewed title.
AIMA’s portal process description.

  1. Register in the portal using your email and the requested identifiers.
  2. Check your inbox for your access credentials (password/activation details).
  3. Pay the fees after the portal issues the payment document (AIMA notes payment timing constraints after issuing the guides).
  4. Submit the renewal request and complete any required fields/doc uploads.
  5. Download the receipt and keep it for proof of submission while the renewal is assessed.

ARI renewals: what to do on 16 February 2026

On the rollout date stated by AIMA, you should log into the Renewals Portal
and confirm ARI appears as an eligible renewal category for your situation.
